Why government jobs remain highly competitive
Government roles in Bangladesh continue to attract huge applicant numbers because they combine stability, social recognition, and a clearer long-term progression path than many private-sector roles.
That does not mean every candidate wants the same outcome. For some, the attraction is administrative impact. For others, it is financial stability, work-life balance, or the signalling power of a recognised institution.
Prestige should not be your only filter
Many learners default to the most visible role names without considering the actual work, competition profile, or preparation track. That creates avoidable mismatch. A role that looks prestigious may not align with your strengths, patience, or timeline.
A more professional approach is to compare job families based on subject alignment, exam difficulty, advancement path, and daily work style.
Choose a path, then commit to the exam system
Once you choose a target, preparation becomes easier because resource selection gets narrower. The mistake is keeping five very different paths open at once and preparing shallowly for all of them.
A committed exam path lets you practice the right question formats, build subject-specific confidence, and measure progress against the correct competition set.
